This tip is a real time saver, and it allows you to spot installation problems much quicker than waiting for the validation team to respond. They can be quite busy with their queue and this will allow you to fix any problems and possibly prevent having to resubmit days later.

Take advantage of the new "Beta Test" functionality in the Dashboard. Simply fill in the consumer email address field during the submission process, and finish your submission as usual. Next, log into AppUp with that same consumer email account and you will see your application. Now you may test the installer and ensure everything runs as expected. This may have just saved you several days of waiting.

Any work around for Indian customers?

Hello,

you can try this:

• Go to www.intelappup.com download and install Intel AppUp™ Client Beta
• Launch Intel AppUp™ Client Beta, click on Login and follow normal registration process. Only register as a US resident when asked your location
• When you get to the payment information screen, just click “Cancel”
• Now login to Intel AppUp™ Client Beta using the registered email address.

You will not be able to purchase or download any applications, but since your beta apps will already appear in the “Pending Downloads” section of MyApps, you will not need to go through any of these steps. You will not be able to access any other production applications, but you will be able to access your Beta Apps.

Best Regards,

@ Andre,

Do we have to use the same user name which we have created for IADP ?

Do you mean, I will be able to see and download all my apps which is under validation to check is there any lauch issues ? Further, how to invite other to test this process ?

Hello Praveen,

if you follow my suggestion you cannot download anything as you have not entered a valid US/Canadian credit card so far.
This is just a workaround to get you going a bit at least until other countries are able to fully participate in the AppUp Center.

Hello Praveen,

if you want to use the AppUp Client without limitations you need to wait until customers from India can sign up.

@ Andre,

As per my knowledge goes few products from Indian companies have already available in the store... But my question is that can we (Indian) use the steps you had mentioned to check the apps which are under validation to avoid Launch/download failures.

Hello Praveen,

as long as you don't register a US/Canadian Credit Card with the AppUp Client you cannot download/install/launch anything in the AppUp Client in the moment.

Praveen,

To add to Andre's great explanation:

If you get a U.S. or Canadian mailing address, then sign up for a credit card with that address (Even a Paypal one), then this will work for you today. I believe that is what many overseas ATOM developers are doing for the time being. Since this is a Beta still, we can expect things to continue to improve in all aspect, and internationalization is one of them.

Praveen,

As Andre stated above, you will need to have a valid US mailing address in order to register. For the beta tester

• Launch Intel AppUp™ Client Beta, click on Login and follow normal registration process. Only register as a US resident when asked your location
• When you get to the payment information screen, just click “Cancel”
• Now login to Intel AppUp™ Client Beta using the registered email address.

This should work fine as Andre specified.

Rooven

I already have one login for my company. If I create another with US address, will this work?

And.... If I am not wrong, I can do the beta testing if I enroll using valid US address (without CC details).... Am I wright?

That is correct. Please let me know if you have any issues.

Yes Brain that is correct.

I have registered as US addres without credit card and while submitting app in the upload page I opted for Beta Test and invited myself, I was able to download and test in the App UP pending apps section.

Thanks.

Excellent feedback. Did you application pass your own validation (beta test)?

LOL-- round and round we go -- atleast until folks from here are allowed to sign up, one would have to make-do with workarounds.

Hello,

you need the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1, without SP1 it won't work.

Also the backend servers are upgraded in the moment and the AppUp Client might have problems to connect to the servers from time to time.
I have tested the AppUp in this very second and it works, however the upgrade phase continues over the day.
