1st Place: DeskSpace, by Otaku Software Pty Ltd

Founded by James Stewart in 2004, Otaku Software Pty Ltd creates visually stunning applications that make your desktop more productive and organized.
2nd Place: Smiles by Michael Kasprzak

Michael Kasprzak is a game industry veteran with more than a decade of experience. He's worked on numerous titles for a number of platforms including Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, PlayStation, Mobile, and iPhone. Mike was also a contributing author to the book “iPhone Games Projects”, and used to write for independent games website Game Tunnel. Since 2005, Mike has owned and operated Sykhronics Entertainment, a small independent game studio in London, Ontario, Canada. Mike is part of the team that runs Ludum Dare, a tri-annual accelerated game prototyping event and community. Given a theme, developers from around the world create a game in 48 hours. In 2009 alone, members of Ludum Dare community created more than 400 games.
3rd Place: Number Match by Fredericka Burrows

Fredericka Burrows has spent the past 5 years developing niche' solutions to a wide array of industries. This diversity is driven by a passion to create robust solutions and remain on the cutting edge of technology. An emphasis on Education and Social Networking solutions is prominent in her background, having consulted industry experts for many of her projects including the latest Intel Atom submissions. In her words ‘Seeing the mobile environment as an opportunity to deliver innovative applications to the masses, the Intel AppUp experience drew her like a magnet.’ Dedicated software developer and active mother of two she leverages technology at home as well, encouraging supplemental learning through an entertaining platform such as "Number Match". A firm believer that the latest shift toward a mobile lifestyle will change the way we do business, she is a committed Intel Atom Developer.
4th Place: Port-A-Vision by Brian Burrows

Brian has immersed himself in cutting edge application development for over a decade and enjoys the challenges of the mobile solutions environment. Experiences in the mobile applications world include enterprise data acquisition solutions for the Department of Defense, corporate productivity applications for Windows Mobile devices and many ports of legacy applications to more modern hardware. A proponent of agile architecture he believes in building in flexibility during the iterative development process. His varied resume has included locations from the U.S. to Australia using programming languages obscure and mainstream alike, diversity is often a common theme. Gravitating towards the next technological opportunity, the chance to get up to speed with the Intel Atom Developer Program SDK caught his attention immediately as being both challenging and extremely rewarding.
