Are you registered to ride the bus yet? We only have a few seats left, so make sure to grab one to take part in this exclusive opportunity and to take your shot at winning $10k in cash prizes!

Our Intel AppUp Mobile Hackathon bus ride will leave San Francisco the morning of September 26 and ride to Ashland, Oregon to stay the night. The next day (September 27), the bus will take off again and arrive in Bellevue, WA at the Hyatt Regency where Intel AppUp Elements 2011 is taking place. Dinner and snacks will be served and the final hours of the hackathon will be spent on-site as developers put the finishing touches on their apps. At 10pm on September 27, the 36 hour hackathon will end and developers will turn in for a good night's sleep before Elements begins the next morning (September 28). Participating in our hackathon is a great way to get a free ride to Bellevue, start your Intel AppUp center apps, meet new friends and colleagues, and win great prizes!

Speaking of the prizes, the hackathon participants will be coding apps for $10k in cash prizes - and who couldn't use a little cash these days? Code an app within 36 hours and finish by the deadline and you'll be in the running to get a piece of the $10k cash action. Our terms & conditions document will be live next week (and will be posted here), so the details will be available soon.

Reserve your seat on the bus by September 15! Visit the StartupBus website and enter your email address in the "FIND OUT MORE" area to access the application form. Also, if you're not registered for Elements yet - you can do so at the official website with code vaqebre9.

I really wish you guys announced this sooner. I've just purchased a $500 RT airfare + 3 nights hotel package last week to attend AppUp Elements. It's a good deal, but it's totally non-refundable. :-(

I was expecting a hackathon on-location like last year (I didn't get to enter, due to being exhausted from Intel IDF already).

On the plus side, I have been winning every single hackathon I attended so far this year - CTIA/WIP Muther, Blackberry BBMNYC, and Salesforce's #DFhack at Dreamforce. I guess I'll just sit back, and let someone else take the prize this time!

My other thought is that a lot of others I know have also already booked their flight tickets or flight+hotel packages. Airline's increase prices within 14 and 21 day intervals to departure (and we are already past this range!), so this announcement is a bit late for some of us looking for a hackathon with cash prizes on location in Seattle. :-(

On the plus side, Intel parties are fun events!
