MeeGo is an exciting new mobile OS for not only smart phones and netbooks, but also for tablets, connected TV’s and in vehicle infotainment systems. Unique to MeeGo is that it has a common core and APIs across multiple mobile device platforms, it is supported by both Intel® Atom™ processor and ARMv7* architectures, and has broad ecosystem adoption. Check out the introduction to the MeeGo Project by Ibrahim Haddad, Ph.D. here: http://wiki.meego.com/images/MeeGo_Introduction.pdf
On February 14th 2011 the Intel AppUp developer program expanded to support MeeGo applications for tablets and netbooks. Now,
developers can submit MeeGo apps into the program and have access to great MeeGo app resources, tools and incentives. The AppUp™ SDK
Suite for MeeGo is available for download. It provides developers with tools and support to publish MeeGo apps in the Intel AppUp center.
Also, the Intel AppUp developer program is hosting worldwide application labs to provide hands on training for MeeGo development. This includes distribution of over 5000 MeeGo-based tablet software development platforms for early adopters to jumpstart application development for tablets. Additionally there are multiple opportunities for developer support, recognition and rewards for MeeGo applications including Intel AppUp developer program Accelerator and the “submit early program” for MeeGo. MeeGo is on a 6 month release cadence. Intel released the pre-alpha MeeGo 1.2 tablet user experience on February 14th 2011. The UI is available for download on the Intel AppUpSM developer program http://appdeveloper.intel.com/meego. The new MeeGo Tablet User Experience from Intel puts consumers at the center of their device with a unique panel model for presenting digital life – including favorite social media, people, video and photos.

MeeGo Compliance
MeeGo has a compliance program to ensure compatibility, both for applications and devices. According to the MeeGo Wiki all devices must use the core software stack, including the MeeGo OS base layer and the middleware layer. MeeGo compliance for applications will verify that an application's external dependencies are satisfied by a MeeGo compliant device. Refer to the wiki here http://wiki.meego.com/Quality/Compliance for full details.

We are ramping MeeGo content as next year there will be many devices, tablets, phones, & TV running MeeGo and AppUp will be a key means to get apps distributed to these new devices. We are starting to post now so developers can get up to speed as these devices come.
However we believe in port of choice. If there is content or a topic you'd like to see us cover more, please let us know.
I'm very interested in MeeGo and Qt development so I would like to see even more articles and tutorials about this in the future. It's one of the most interesting platforms that are currently worked on by intel and others and made available to all of us freely thanks to it being open source and free software.
As Jure mentioned. We would like to know more about the development part.Articles, notes and some intro videos on the site would be great.
