This SDK (Software Development Kit) supports enables you to develop/port applications for the Intel AppUpSM center. The SDK supports the following languages and Microsoft Windows* graphical APIs:

  • C# for Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) applications

  • C# for Windows Forms (WinForms) applications

  • Visual Basic for WPF applications

  • Visual Basic for WinForms applications

This SDK includes the following elements:

  • Intel AppUpTM Software libraries for C++ and Visual Basic

  • Intel AppUpTM Software Debugger 2.0

  • Code Examples to aid in the development of C++ and Visual Basic applications

  • Documentation to show you how to incorporate the appropriate API calls into your applications

In addition, the Intel AppUpTM SDK Plug-in 1.5 for Visual Studio software (available separately) eases the job of getting applications ready for the Intel AppUpSM center.

What's New

This version of the SDK includes the following new feature over 1.1.2:

  • Namespace changes from com.intel.adp to Intel.Adp

System Requirements for Development

This SDK is tested on the following operating systems:

  • Microsoft* Windows XP* Home, 32-bit with SP3 (English Version)

  • Microsoft Windows XP Professional, 32-bit with SP3 (English Version)

  • Microsoft Windows* 7 Home Basic, 32-bit (English Version)

  • Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, 32-bit (English Version)

  • Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit (English Version)

  • Microsoft Windows 7 Enterprise, 64-bit (English Version)

Supported Runtime Environments:

  • This SDK supports products compiled targeting the .NET Framework 3.5 runtime. Developers creating applications that incorporate this SDK must compile and validate those applications with the .NET Framework 3.5 runtime. When working with Visual Studio* 2010, you must download and install the .NET Framework 3.5 separately from installing Visual Studio.

Supported Development Environment:

  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition, Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Standard Edition, and Microsoft Visual Studio Team System 2008

  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Professional Edition, Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Premium Edition, and Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate Edition

  • 25 MB available hard drive space

  • Compatible with the Intel AppUpTM SDK Plug-in 1.5 for Microsoft Visual Studio software

Installation Notes

To Install:

  1. Before installation, log in to the Windows OS using an account with administrator privileges.

  2. Run AppUpSDK_CLR_v1.5.msi.

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions for installing the Intel AppUpTM Software Development Kit 1.5 for .NET technology.

To access the Intel AppUpTM SDK samples for .NET technology:

Click Start > All Programs > Intel AppUp(TM) Software Development Kit\CLR .NET\Samples

 

To access the Intel AppUpTM SDK Developer Guide for .NET technology:

Click Start > All Programs > Intel AppUp(TM) Software Development Kit\CLR .NET\Developer Guide

 

To access the Intel AppUpTM SDK API Reference for .NET technology:

Click Start > All Programs > Intel AppUp(TM) Software Development Kit\CLR .NET\API Reference

 

Validation

To test your application with the Intel AppUpTM Software Debugger, download and install the Intel AppUpTM Software Development Kit 1.5 for .NET technology on your test system.

 

Known Limitations

  • This SDK does not support component development.

  • The Intel AppUpSM center will not run properly if the Intel AppUpTM Software Debugger is running. You must exit the Intel AppUpTM Software Debugger before running the Intel AppUpSM center.
