What's New
This Beta SDK (Software Developent Kit) supports applications being developed/ported for the Intel AppUp(SM) center. The SDK supports development of C and C++ applications in a Microsoft* Windows* development environment for a MeeGo* runtime environment.
The SDK contains the following elements:
- Intel AppUp™ SDK C and C++ API Libraries for MeeGo
- Intel AppUp™ Software Debugger for testing applications
- C and C++ Code Examples for MeeGo
- Documentation to show you how to incorporate the appropriate API calls into your applications and how to use the Intel AppUp™ Software Debugger
System Requirements
Supported Runtime Environment:
- MeeGo 1.1 (English Version)
- MeeGo 1.2 Tablet UX Pre-Alpha Release
Tested Development Environment Operating Systems:
- Microsoft Windows XP* Home 32-bit with SP3 (English Version)
- Microsoft Windows XP Professional 32-bit with SP3 (English Version)
- Microsoft Windows 7* Home Basic 32-bit (English Version)
- Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit (English Version)
Supported Development Environment:
- MeeGo 1.1 SDK for Windows (English Version)
- MeeGo 1.2 SDK for Windows (English Version)
- 30 MB available hard drive space
Installation Notes
To Install:
- The MeeGo 1.1/1.2 SDK must be installed and configured prior to installing this Intel AppUp™ SDK. Download and install the MeeGo 1.1/1.2 SDK before you install this Intel AppUp SDK. Start here: http://wiki.meego.com/SDK/Docs/1.1/Getting_started_with_the_MeeGo_SDK_for_Windows or http://wiki.meego.com/SDK/Docs/1.2/Getting_started_with_the_MeeGo_SDK_for_Windows
- After installing the MeeGo 1.1/1.2 SDK and before installing this SDK, log in to the OS using an account with administrator privileges.
- Run AppUpSDK_MeeGo_CPP_v0.8_Beta.msi.
- Follow the on-screen instructions for installing this SDK.
- After this Intel AppUp™ SDK is installed, you must manually install the Intel AppUp™ Software Debugger in the QEMU MeeGo emulation environment before you start debugging. You must also manually install it on any target MeeGo systems/devices if you want to debug there.
- Instructions for starting and stopping the Intel AppUp Software Debugger™ are provided in the Developer Guide installed with this SDK.

Validation
To test your application with the Intel AppUp™ Software Debugger, manually install the Intel AppUp™ Software Debugger on your MeeGo test system/device.
Known Limitations
- Only one instance of the Intel AppUp™ Software Debugger can be launched at a time.
- The Intel AppUp(SM) center client software will not run properly if the Intel AppUp™ Software Debugger is running. You must exit the Intel AppUp™ Software Debugger before running the Intel AppUp(SM) center client software.
