Printer-friendly version

Before submitting your application for validation, make sure you have the following ready:

  • You have a login ID.
  • You have joined the Intel AppUpSM developer program, registered your organization name, and updated your profile. Payment information (Paypal email ID) is required if you are submitting a paid application.
  • You have reviewed the Application Readiness Checklist to help ensure you have a smooth validation.
  • You have reviewed the Packaging Requirements Guide and packaged your application accordingly.
  • You have decided on several possible application names. The application name must be unique to the entire App Store. Therefore, having several names ready gives you options in case your first choice is not available.
  • You have a version numbering policy and a version number for this submission (optional).
  • You have decided on a date when the application should be publicly available (optional). (Intel does not guarantee this date.)
  • You have an icon for your application. The Product Icon should be in .png format, 100x100 pixels or larger in 1:1 aspect ratio.
  • You have decided on a short, benefits-oriented tagline (optional), and both a short (maximum 300 characters) and a long (maximum 5000 characters) description for your application.
  • You have a list of features you want to briefly describe (optional).
  • You have considered two appropriate categories for your application (e.g. games, education, personal productivity, etc.). You will be able to select from a list of current categories during submission.
  • You have a list of meta tags for App Store searches (optional).
  • You have chosen a content rating appropriate for the application content (see the Developer Guidelines for content ratings).
  • You have captured a primary screen shot and two optional screen shots. All screen shots must be 820x480 (.jpg, .gif or .png are accepted).
  • You have contacts for application support (email address and URL are recommended).
  • Your end user license agreement (EULA) terms and conditions are ready to publish (or you may use the default EULA provided by Intel).
  • You have considered pricing for all the markets (domestic and international) you intend to publish in and understand your costs for the components you use. Your total component Revenue Share must not exceed 100%.
  • Your binary is compiled for the appropriate operating systems and ready to submit.
  • Your binary for upload must be packed according to the Packaging Requirements Guide and in one of the following formats:
    • .msi (for Windows applications)
    • .deb (for Debian* Moblin/Linux)
    • .rpm (for RedHat* Linux)

Hi

As part of the ThinkDigit Meego App Mania Contest - i am developing a Web Run Time based Widget. To deploy that widget we create a .wgt file and manually install it on the meego device.

As part of the competition, can just publish the .wgt file to the store.

please let me know on this

regards

WE are porting audio post processing using equalizer(FIR interpolation filter) on to Intel Atom, currently we did all kind of C optimisation, but could nt get much gain, so we have added Intrinsics but due to unaligned memory we are not getting much gain here also whats best way to do alignment from nonalignment in Intel.

Hello,

At this time, the only way to change from free to paid is to resubmit application as if it were a new application.

If you want to change from free to paid please create a new submission (new GUID) with a new name. Please make sure when you are submitting a new submission that you are also changing the name of the msi file. If you want to unpublish the current app change the End date to the date you want it unpublished.

My app is showing in the store as free but it should be a paid app.
The category is showing as "education" but it I set it to reference.

I changed it to paid in the dashboard but it still shows as free in the store.

What can I do to fix this?

Hi Chris,

We have not tried this scenario on a MaC OS system and I am not sure if it should work or not.
If possible, can you try on a Windows or Linux system using either Internet Explorer (on Windows) or Firefox or even with Google Chrome Browser?

Hi. I am trying to submit our application. I am running Safari on MAC OS X. I have the latest Java version 1.6.0_21, but the page does not render the UPLOAD application file chooser. Do I need a Wintel box for this?

Thanks, Chris

Hi Chandra,

As long as you follow the rules and regulations as well as the Terms And Conditions of the website and the Intel® Atom™ Developer Program you can use third party software, provided they are your applications or from your organization.
Remember, your applications have to be unique.

Is it OK if I use 3rd party software like Qt or CGAL?
