The Intel Capital AppUp(SM) Developer Fund is a $100-million-dollar venture capital investment in companies producing infrastructure, middleware, innovative applications, and digital content for connected devices. The initiative is managed by Intel Capital to support companies and developers who are pioneering new, innovative applications and usage models for the mobile and PC ecosystem. Funding will be invested globally over two to three years in early and mid-to-late stage equity deals. While the investments will cover multiple technologies and devices, key focus areas include cross-platform technologies, such as HTML5, as well as experiences designed specifically for Ultrabooks™.

The number of connected devices in the world is growing exponentially. The always-connected consumer demands seamless, integrated experiences regardless of device or location. This brings with it a tremendous opportunity for developers to build new, differentiated experiences across devices and operating systems. The Intel Capital AppUp Developer Fund is designed to help Intel AppUp Developer Program developers take advantage of these opportunities, to create new businesses and bring their ideas to reality.

Intel AppUp Developer Program members developing applications and components for Intel® processor-based platforms are eligible to apply for venture capital investment from Intel Capital through the fund.
